The spatial and temporal effects of Fog-Haze pollution on the influenza transmission

 摘要The energy-intensive industrial economy results in frequent Fog-Haze weather which increases the risk of influenza spread and brings new challenges for the prevention and control of influenza. Therefore, the study of spread mechanics and controlling strategies of influenza based on Fog-Haze will be scientifically meaningful. Considering that when the concentration of Fog-Haze is low, Fog-Haze contributes to the number of infectious individuals and Fog-Haze suppresses the transmission of the influenza virus when the concentration of Fog-Haze is high, we establish the Fog-Haze dynamics model. Then we prove the global existence and boundedness of the solution, and the global asymptotic stability of the solution is given by constructing a suitable Lyapunov functional. Under the Fog-Haze weather, we study the influenza virus transmission model that incorporates the incidence rate to reflect the Fog-Haze-dependent saturation effect and investigate the effect of Fog-Haze pollution on the transmission of influenza. We show that the basic reproduction number R0 determines the global dynamics of the system: if R0 < 1, the disease-free equilibrium is global asymptotically stable; the unique endemic equilibrium is global asymptotically stable if R0 > 1. Simulations are carried out to validate the theoretical results. Our study provides further understanding of the dynamics of Fog-Haze and the effect of Fog-haze pollution on the transmission of influenza. 

 个人简介:宋海涛,山西大学复杂系统研究所,教授,博导,加拿大约克大学博士后,美国数学会《数学评论》评论员,中国数学会生物数学专业委员会青年工作委员会委员。主要研究领域为生物数学、微分方程和动力系统。本硕博就读于哈尔滨工业大学,于2015年获得数学博士学位,并于2016-2018年在加拿大约克大学做博士后研究。在微分方程相关领域发表学术论文20余篇,主持或完成2项国家自然科学基金(面上项目和青年项目)和6项省部级项目,参与国家自然科学基金重点项目1项。以第一完成人获得2023年山西省科学技术奖(自然科学奖)二等奖获得山西省高等学校优秀青年学术带头人、三晋英才-青年优秀人才、山西大学青年五四奖章。
