Department of Mathematics

Department of Mathematics, under the College of Arts and Sciences, is the only science department in the University.  There are Applied Mathematics group, Information and Computing Science group and a mathematical modeling laboratory. undergraduate students Each year nearly 80 undergraduate studente are admitted to majors of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, Information and Computing Science.

Department of Mathematics has more than 20 full-time members, including four professors, 8 associate professors, one winner of Baosteel Education Fund Award and one winner of Shanghai Yucai Award. Most teachers have extensive teaching experience and good teaching effect. Supervised by the teachers of Department of Mathematics, many student teams have got excellent results in National Mathematical Modeling Contest.
